To celebrate the release of the AKIRA REMIX CD, a special pop-up store will be held at the PARKS Paris shop in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. T-shirts and bags created in collaboration with the Japanese brand nana-nana will feature artwork by Katsuhiro Otomo.

“AKIRA REMIX” is a music album released on August 21, 2024, that reimagines the original soundtrack of the iconic 1988 anime film AKIRA. The album was produced by Katsuhiro Otomo, the creator of AKIRA, and features remixes of the original score by Geinoh Yamashirogumi, a Japanese musical collective known for their work on the film’s soundtrack.

The album includes contributions from well-known musicians such as Makoto Kubota, Yasuharu Konishi (from Pizzicato Five), and Kuniyuki Takahashi, who were personally selected by Otomo. The remixes were originally showcased at the “Otomo Katsuhiro Complete Works AKIRA Cel Exhibition” in Tokyo and Osaka in 2023. The album is available both as a physical CD and on major music streaming platforms, o]ering fans a new way to experience the legendary soundtrack.
